Kpalime is situated in the fertile mountainous Plateau Region, 120 km (3 hours drive) from Lome. It is the fourth largest city in Togo with roughly 75000 inhabitants. The region draws tourists to its cool climate and breathtaking Waterfall view and is renowned for hiking and trekking.
Where to go
The Hotel Geyser offers standard rooms at moderate price. The Hotel swimming pool is rejuvenating after a long hot day of activities. You can swim and watch the star studded skies and the distant lights of the nearby mountains before or after dinner. They offer simple tasty meals.
Another place to eat is the Relax Restaurant, owned by a Belgium duo, Mary and Jan (mother and son). Amongst other dishes Belgium food and beer are available and we recommend their Stroganoff.
The Centre D´Artisan, opposite Hotel Geyser, exhibits and sells local art and crafts such as textiles including batiks, wood carvings, cast iron, jewelery and many more. You can watch craft men at work, and there is an art school in the premises.
